SURVIVAL TURKISH – FEBRUARY, 2016
At the beginning of each semester, we offer our Erasmus–Exchange students a 4-day “Survival Turkish” program, within the framework of the orientation program, regarding the problems they are likely to encounter in Turkey. This program includes two hours of Turkish Language teaching every day, followed by activities related to the content of the lesson. These activities take us to the most spectacular sights in Istanbul; we hop on the ferry, visit museums, go to cafes, restaurants, and (get the chance to) explore both the European and Anatolian sides of the city. At these places, we practise what we have learned during the lessons and start speaking Turkish gradually. When we look back, we can’t help reminiscing about these wonderful memories, friendships and get togethers.
